Dreadclaw – Werendigo Monstrosity

Monstrosity (Monster, Werewolf)

Dreadclaw crouches low in a stalking predator’s posture, its gaunt frame bristling with coarse fur, massive antlers, and elongated talons. Crowned with an exposed skeletal skull and gaping maw, this primeval beast commands immediate dread across the grid. Whether hunting party scouts through frozen treelines or acting as an ancient terror unleashed upon the battlemap, this Artifact brings visceral horror to high-stakes wilderness encounters.

Tabletop Lore

A monstrous relic of darkness dating back to the Age of Creation, Dreadclaw has haunted Saltmist Isle for millennia. This beast of burden was responsible for the destruction of numerous failed colonies, bringing famine, disease, and death to all who attempted to claim the land. While such afflictions hold little sway over the vampire coven that currently claims the isle, the creature remains an unyielding primeval threat lurking in the surrounding shadows.

Highlight

The low-slung, quadrupedal stalking pose paired with a massive antlered skull helm gives this apex predator a chilling visual footprint that immediately dominates tactical layouts.

Encounter Insight

Deploy Dreadclaw as an unyielding apex predator stalking party members through heavy fog, harsh blizzards, or dense forest terrain. Its aggressive posture makes it ideal for sudden ambush encounters where it isolates backline heroes before lunging back into cover.
