Gresnos – The Broken Flame
Fiend
Coiled in a fluid, predatory stance with a curved serrated blade poised to strike, Gresnos brings an immediate sense of corrupt lethality to the battle grid. His horned profile, flowing waist robes, and clawed hand evoke the terrifying transition from a sacred origin to an infernal instrument. Keepers will find this Artifact essential for anchoring extraplanar incursions, high-speed skirmishes, or tragic boss fights.
Tabletop Lore
Once a Selvaneri of Namneri who fell from grace, Gresnos ultimately rejected his patron’s divine view on the inevitability of death, deeming its enforcement cruel and unjust. Sensing his swaying devotion after centuries of servitude, the abyssal matriarch Nosmarka nudged him over the precipice. Cast out of Syelden and taken under Nosmarka’s wing, he was rebuilt as a tragic antithesis to the divine cause he once championed.
Highlight
The aggressive, low-slung hunting pose paired with a sweeping waist cloth and curved back-drawn blade creates a sleek, high-speed silhouette that demands focus on the grid.
