Hans, Inquisitive Witchfinder – The Runic Cleaver

Hans, Inquisitive Witchfinder – The Runic Cleaver

Male Humanoid (Fighter, Ranger)

Gripping a heavy, filigreed broadaxe across his torso with a confident, knowing smirk, Hans steps firmly onto elevated stone ready to confront nocturnal threats. An upright mantle collar etched in warding sigils frames wind-tousled hair and determined eyes, while layered scale armor, buckled bandoliers, and sheathed parrying blades reinforce his broad stance. Keepers staging frontier coven investigations, gothic wilderness hunts, or provincial contract pursuits will find this Artifact brings grounded martial authority and stalwart physical presence across the grid.

Tabletop Lore

Where frontier townships brush against primeval briars, local bailiffs rarely possess the stomach to pursue matters beyond the wood line. Hans operates as a seasoned tracker of rogue covens and corrupted hedge-mages, pairing cold martial resolve with warded armaments designed to withstand foul enchantments. Relying on an engraved two-handed woodsman axe balanced for swift cleaving strikes and close-quarters parrying, he moves into blighted clearings alongside his guild partners, dismantling unnatural hazards before village boundaries can be breached.

Highlight

A formidable two-handed axe inquisitor sculpt featuring intricate runic engravings along an oversized standing collar and axe blade, layered scale gambeson armor, and an athletic braced stepping pose.

Encounter Insight

Deploy Hans as an uncompromising witch hunter ally, an experienced frontier guide contracting out perilous bounties, or a resolute rival mercenary confronting the party over a shared contract. In tactical skirmishes, Keepers can use his wide, balanced stance to hold chokepoints and control melee lanes, relying on his heavy two-handed axe reach to contest aggressive brutes while protecting vulnerable backline spellcasters.
