Malphas, Void Arbiter – The Gatekeeper of Flesh

Malikhor, Arbiter of the Threshold – The Gate Archdemon

Fiend (Boss, Monster)

Perched atop a ruined gothic portal with an exposed cerebral cortex and curved horns, Malikhor suspends balance scales of damnation while unfurling a parchment decree across four clawed limbs. Tormented souls writhe across its swollen abdomen, flanked by gargoyle watch-posts and skeletal masonry that turn an open archway into a terrifying planar checkpoint. Keepers constructing climactic planar breaches, underworld court trials, or abyssal gateway showdowns will find this Artifact delivers towering table presence, verticality, and architectural dread to the grid.

Tabletop Lore

Guarding the boundaries where mortal reality fractures into the lower planes, the gate archdemons weigh the spiritual debts of trespassing souls. Malikhor sits unmoving upon fractured gothic masonry, judging petitioner caravans and reckless crusaders through blindfolded senses that perceive moral decay rather than physical light. Those whose deeds tilt the suspended brass scales find their passage granted only into servitude, while defiant interlopers are crushed beneath multi-limbed fury and absorbed into the shrieking faces that feed its unnatural anatomy.

Highlight

A towering architectural centerpiece featuring an exposed-brain fiend with balance scales, four arms, and writhed-soul anatomy integrated atop a ruined gothic archway.

Encounter Insight

Deploy Malikhor as a campaign-tier planar guardian, high-court underworld judge, or centerpiece boss holding an active portal objective. In encounter design, Keepers can treat the gothic gate as vertical terrain and a choke point, utilizing the archdemon to dictate movement, impose judgment mechanics through the scales, and control the breach while lesser minions emerge from the rubble below.
