A Drylander once stationed on the border. As a soldier, Sharpey saw more action than most in the Army. Skirmishes with smugglers and brigand teams at the border were common, and during the time of the marauding orcs, his company was one that was sent to halt their advances in the drylands, suffering heavy casualties to do so. It was then that he became disillusioned with the Crown, pledging allegiance to the rebel factions during a high-stakes coup attempt. With the rebellion suppressed and his former comrades facing the firing squad, Pointer followed a group of survivors into the slums, finding kinship among the Underkeepers—a nationalist, anti-monarchist gang that embroided the same ideologies of resistance.
