Ruins of Terataya – Ancient Temple Ruins
Gargantuan Terrain
This comprehensive structural Artifact depicts the crumbling stone foundations, broken archways, and weathered pillars of a desecrated sanctuary hall. Featuring highly modular layout lines and a centralized altar circle, its multi-room footprint delivers immediate spatial tactical depth to the gaming table. Keepers can deploy this expansive piece to anchor complex tactical skirmishes, investigative exploration scenes, or critical defensive standoffs.
Tabletop Lore
Long buried by the sands, these ruins first saw life as an ancient Sun Elven outpost during the First Era. When humans began to settle the land, it was abandoned, though built upon by the Goltians to become a temple to the Tharameni. After the fall of Golita, it has remained empty, though for reasons not yet known to the Church, the undead in the area are congregating here.
Highlight
The layout functions as a ready-made combat arena, balancing protective stone corners with long, open lines of sight that challenge a party’s positioning and movement.
Encounter Insight
Introduce the Ruins of Terataya as a strategic stronghold or a forgotten tomb where dark forces assemble. The broken doorway sections create natural defensive choke points for martial characters, while the scattered pillar stumps offer critical partial cover for ranged combatants and spellcasters weaving between rooms.
