Tengaraya – Flying Sea Ray
Monstrosity Beast
Soaring low over churning oceanic crests with wide mantoid wings and a predatory jaw structure, Tengaraya brings airborne marine terror directly to the battle grid. Featuring fine scaled skin textures, sharp mandibles, and an elevated flight stand anchored in surging spray, this aquatic predator commands immediate table presence. Keepers can deploy this Artifact as a wild oceanic beast, an exotic coastal mount, or an aggressive aerial threat during high-seas voyages.
Tabletop Lore
Marine creatures native to the coasts of Abunen Kolden, Tengaraya rays were brought to Tharador’s eastern shores during the Elemi Migration of the Second Era. Water and Air Elemi harnessed these powerful beasts as mounts or draught animals to pull boats and barges across the waves. However, these creatures are far from naturally docile, requiring specialized taming to lull them before a harness can be secured. Woe to any sailor or traveler who encounters an untamed, ravenous ray gliding over the open ocean.
Highlight
The sweeping, wide-winged banking flight posture paired with a translucent water-surge flight base delivers a dynamic, high-mobility silhouette for sea encounters.
