Old Mawgrin, Ancient Leviathan – Hunger Beneath the Waves
Gargantuan Sea Leviathan (Aberration, Monstrosity)
Old Mawgrin coils upward from the deep, its elongated head suspended above a ring of armored flesh and jagged spines. A cavernous mouth, sweeping barbels, layered fins, and centuries of marine growth give the creature the appearance of something that has hunted beneath the waves since before sailors named the seas. It dominates the table as an open-ocean predator and climactic maritime threat.
Tabletop Lore
Old Mawgrin bears no relation to the Vosinderi of Inderimaeth. It is an ancient spawn of Quorengderi, carrying only contempt for the sailors unfortunate enough to cross its path—or be swallowed whole within its jaws. Most dismiss the creature as another tall tale traded between frightened crews, but few who have seen Old Mawgrin have survived long enough to correct them.
Highlight
The coiled composition gives Old Mawgrin immense presence without concealing its serpentine anatomy. Its elevated head, open jaws, concentric body, and forest of dorsal spines create a creature that remains readable and threatening from every side of the table.
