Thrumm of the Henge – Toad Marshwarden
Male Dwarf (Druid, Wizard)
Standing balanced atop the broad head of a colossal horned toad, an antlered dwarf invocator chants invocations while leveling an outstretched casting hand and clutching an open grimoire. The immense amphibian mount squats squarely across the stone circle, featuring bulbous warty skin, a wide throat sac, and heavy splayed webbing. Keepers navigating ancient standing stones, mist-choked marshlands, or primeval wetland sanctums will find this Artifact delivers distinctive vertical authority and arcane command to the grid.
Tabletop Lore
Deep within mist-shrouded fenlands where waterlogged dolmens sink into peat, Thrumm communes with the elder amphibious spirits of the quagmire. Rather than shunning the dark rot of the sunken valleys, he has bound his soul to the rhythm of the rising mires, accompanied by an ancient bog toad raised on alchemical swamp moss. When interlopers threaten to drain the fens or disturb the petrified megaliths, Thrumm rides forth from murky pools, chanting primal wards from his waterlogged grimoire to summon churning mudflows and crushing tidal weight.
Highlight
A striking vertical mounted sculpt pairing a hooded, antlered dwarven spellcaster with a massive, front-facing giant toad anchored to a circular megalithic plinth.
Encounter Insight
Deploy Thrumm as a wetland grove keeper, swamp hermit ally, or terrain-controlling boss in sunken ruins. In combat, Keepers can use the toad mount’s broad frame to block narrow marsh trails and swallow incoming melee skirmishers, while the elevated dwarven caster rains down area-control spells, entangling mud hazards, and ranged water blasts from high vantage.
