Verda, Heartwood Sentinel – Vengeful Dryad
Fey (Monster)
Towering on thick root-bound limbs with a crown of sharpened branches, Verda brandishes multiple scavenged weapons across an array of bark-armored limbs. Embedded deep within the hollow timber of her chest rests the serene, mournful face of her original form, peering out from the timbered chassis of her fallen treant companion. As an imposing Large presence on the grid, she instantly delivers an aura of tragic, unyielding forest wrath, making her an unforgettable focal encounter for Keepers running frontier wilderness or corrupted woodland crossings.
Tabletop Lore
Hailing from the outer reaches of the Fringe, Verda was fatally wounded alongside her ancient treant companion as intruders desecrated their grove. In a final act of desperation, their fading spirits fused together, melding her essence into the hardened bark and fibrous sinew of her dying partner. Reborn as an avenging warden, she has mastered the scavenged steel, axes, and flintlock arms of encroaching Baldurian settlers, turning their own brutal tools against them to shield the ancient canopy from whatever darkness stirs in the Tryamin Woods.
Highlight
An imposing multi-armed treant silhouette defined by jagged wooden swords, a scavenged war axe, a handheld timber mortar, and an evocative dryad visage nestled inside a hollowed heartwood ribcage.
