Florian the Fallen – Deserter Knight
Human (Fighter)
Grasping a massive war banner in one hand while standing resolute in tattered plate armor, Florian the Fallen brings tragical martial presence to the battle grid. Clad in layered iron plating, mail skirts, a tattered cape, and a shadowed cowl over a closed helm, his firm posture captures a battle-weary soldier forced into the front lines of an impossible siege. Keepers can deploy this Artifact as a tragic fighter player character, a reluctant vanguard standard-bearer NPC, or a battle-hardened survivor leading desperate holdouts in ruined city districts.
Tabletop Lore
Once part of the Duke’s Army vanguard initially deployed to quell the outbreak, Florian witnessed a thousand men torn apart within an hour of arriving in the southern districts of Canos. Escaping across the Favian River alongside a handful of survivors, Florian and his comrades were met not with refuge, but with chains as accused deserters. Bound to a massive banner pole, Florian was thrust back into the next assault to instill courage in the ranks, forbidden from ever wavering or retreating again.
Highlight
The sweeping, billowed war banner held firmly alongside heavy knightly plate and a tattered, wind-swept mantle creates a dramatic, high-visibility silhouette across the battlefield.
